Happy New Year... Welcome 2009!

Helllllllooooooooooooo......... This will be my last post of the year! Sigh... seriously, where have my time gone to? Oh well... To everyone out there, Happy New Year, pull your ear! :P

Jaela's starting her music class on Fri and turning 4, F-O-U-R on Tues! Haha... I feel SO very old... :s Not only is Jaela older, Kieran's older too... Just look at this picture! It looks like I haven't seen him for more than 3 months already... Sigh... Kids indeed grows fast... *shakes head*

Hmm... I actually have a lot to blog but dun have the time time time... Sigh... There's a report due on Fri... AHHHH!!! *runs around screaming*

Ok, bit by bit... Last Sat, we went out for dinner with the Four Seasons colleagues.

Last Sun, we woke up in the morning for BF then left for the KTV at around 1030h only to find that it won't be opened until 12 noon!? So, we walked n walked n walked n discovered... a western restaurant cum cafe! It's quite a nice place! So we had a drink there. Hot pearl milk tea! Yum yum! :) We left for the KTV at ard 1230h n sang for 3 straight hours. With not much places to go, we decided to go to the arcade. We played the 'throw ball' game, basketball, initial d 3, house of the dead n taiko game. All for just 10 RMB! Wahaha... For dinner, we went back to the restaurant cum cafe we discovered, named 'yuan yuan yuan'.

Today, Desmond came over to climb Mt. Tai. As I'm working, only Val accompanied him up. After I knocked off from work, n they returned from their tiring but eventful trip, washed up n prepared, we left for the KTV place only to find that the electrical power along that street was down. Half the street was affected n yes, THE KTV was affected. Sigh... So we went to look for a place n found this restaurant called 刘家菜馆. Hmm... what did we order? 水煮鱼， some fried 牛蛙 (wasn't as good as the hot-pot one we had), 泰山三美汤 & 2 bottles of Qingdao Beer. Other than the fact that it's spicy, it was a good meal. All for only 99 RMB. :) After our meal, the electrical power still wasn't up so we went to another KTV, 百乐门 which we've never been to. It just 2 levels above the arcade place. Sang for an hour plus then headed to the tain station. (They can really sing very well!) With that, that's our day, kinda. Sigh... tat's not JUST our day... It's our LAST day of 2008!?

Haha... Anyway, regarding my work, i cleaned the toilet yesterday and wiped the lobby walls, etc. cos I'm attached to PA (Public Area) on Mon & Tues. As for today n tmr, I'm with the laundry dept n lastly, Fri, Sat & Sun, I'll be with SPA. Then, Hoorah, it'll mark our 3 months here! 6 wks Western Rest. + 3 wks Chinese Rest. + 3 wks Hsekeeping = 9wks (3 mths!) Hoorah! >_<

Well, as usual, I'm VERY lazy to post up the pictures SO... I'll do it tmr... :s ==> My New Year Resolution: To... (hmm...) not be lazy? :P

11th Sunday!

Today!
It our 11th Sunday here and guess what? It snowed today! Haha... At first, when I went out, the wind was SO strong that I first thought it was dust. Then it struck me that it was snowing! Haha... yea, stupid me... But it was a very light one and YES, it's SUPER DUPER COLD! Brrrrrr......... Oh, n guess wat I had for lunch today? Dumplings as in 水饺 'cos it's 'dong ji' (冬季) today! Yea... Yesterday...
Yesterday was quite a day... woke up at 7.30am, went down for breakfast and met Owen at 9.10am. Headed to the bus stop which was a few streets down (it was cold), took the bus and we were on our way to 'tian ting le yuan' 天庭乐园'! Haha... As what I had expected, there weren't much fun rides... at least, they dun seem safe. Oh well... the entrance fee's only 10RMB and the scenery was good so I guess it isn't all that bad. :)

Afterwhich, we headed towards Owen's (also our mentor, audrey & many) University. It was nice to look at their dorms, class and students. :)

We went back to the hotel and rested for 2 hours and had instant noodles for lunch. We were really tired but still went out at 2.15pm to the new arcade which opened just ard 1 wk ago! The plc's woah! Love~! :> 0.50RMB per token and they have lots and lots of new machines! OMG! *Ahem* So new that they don't even have Street Fighter vs Capcom. Sigh... Well, we played basketball, Initial D 3, Hse of the Dead and this throw ball touch screen thingy where u have to throw the ball to aim for specific images on the screen. LOL... It was so tiring! Good excercise I must say. :>

Last but not least, at 4+, we headed to this restaurant for hotpot... It's nice but really heaty and tiring to eat... Haha... We ate till 6pm n it was SO cold on our way back... Brrr...

Eeyore's Day Out
Yeah, that was the end of our off day... N there's one thing I forgot to blog about. Last Monday, Eeyore went missing! ah!!! *runs around looking for Eeyore* I only found out at night when I was going to bed. The following day, Val dragged out the bed for me and told Owen about it. So he called the laundry pple to ask and guess what? Eeyore was indeed there! It got dragged all the way there with the linens (they change our bed linens every Monday)... Sigh... N according to Val, they described Eeyore as: big head, big ears, looks like hippopotamus??? Haha... Rite... But everyone who noes abt Eeyore thought that it belongs to Val... Haha... But she told them that it was mine. >_<

Chambermaid Dayzzzzzzzzzz.......

Ta-Da!~ I'm officially a chambermaid today cos I really started making beds and replenishing toiletries, etc. Haha... Though it's tiring, it's actually quite fun. I would say, it's a great experience. The 'da jie' whom I followed around today was really nice and she taught me quite a lot about making the beds and asked me to rest. Today passed quite fast 'cos it was busy busy busy the whole of today... just kept cleaning room after room non-stop. :)

O ya! We went to eat bullfrog hotpot yest! It's super nice, spicy and tender! Haha... The 'soup' of the hotpot's simply oil. Chilli oil. Haha... but very flavourful. There's tis lil' black ball-ie thing tat looks like black pepper but it's actually 花椒. If you get lucky and happen to bite it... ... CONGRATS! U'll feel numb and it taste sourish and mintish... The feeling REALLY sux... >_< Other than bullfrog, we allso ordered cabbage, potato slices (very very nice!) and instant noodle. Haha... It was really smthg new to me and Owen treated us. Yummy!

10th Sunday!

Yea, u got it... it's our 10th Sunday here!~

Nothing much actually... Just woke up at 0830hr (Slept at ard 0200hr)... Washed up and got ready for BF! :> After that, we made our way to 金桥服装广场 again. Bought some *ahem* souvenirs. By the time we finished walking round and round and round the shopping mall, it was still early N we had no where else we wanted to go... SO we decided to go cut our hair... Haha... yea. Just like that. Here's a pic of me in my new hair cut... i went to trim my eyebrows too! (I feel weird though...)

After which, we went to eat. Though it was only ard 1630hr, we were already starving so... off we went! N here are what we ordered...

The claypot rice at the top's Val's (I can't rmb wat it's called), the green veggie in the middle (it's sadly overcooked) & the plate of rice at the bottom's mine - 牛肉盖饭 (there's tonnes of onions carrot and green capsicum but it's really fragrant and the sauce's a lil' sweet, very special)

Ta-dah!~ Finished them in record time! (N yes, u can see the big pile of onions left on my plate... to think that i've actually ate some!)

We stopped by the 'mini-mart' downstairs to grab some tid-bits and face mask before making our way back to the hotel. It so wasn't funny walking back to the hotel with the cold wind slapping into our faces and temperature at 0 degrees! Brrrrrrrrr...... >_<

After I came back, I webcam-ed with the pple at home......................... ONLY to find that they were having lotus soup, fried chicken wings, carrot cake, for dinner and had minced pork porridge for lunch. Sigh... they still had 'dao huay zui' 豆花水 too! Urgh...~ x_x

First, we moved room again! Hoorah! 2 levels up this time... Had to move all our assets up... it was so tiring... but we packed in record time... at least that's how I feel. No worries... they only sealed off certain levels due to the off peak season now that's why we had to shift. According to them, the least we'll be staying here will be ard a month and the longest, probably around 3 months? SO, we'll most probably have to move again... n by then, i'm quite sure that we'll have a lot more stuff... Eeks! x_x Btw, below are the pics of the salon where we moved to the last time due to full occupancy...

Third, I've been eating a lot yest and today. Yes, before dinner, I had lunch at the buffet rest. today. Tho we didn't take much real food, I had a plate-ful of cakes, pies and mochi looking things. Yes, I mean a plate-ful! Haha... then the da jie asked us if we wanted some new dumplings... 野菜 filling... So we did... it was really nice but I ended up really full! Yesterday... Haha... yesterday... I went to the canteen for both lunch and dinner, tho I didn't eat a lot but still, I ate. So, cos I didn't eat much for 'dinner' which was at 4.30, I decided to go down to eat at the rest. (after I got Val's msg: 去啦！dumb dumb). Well, I didn't eat a lot, a lot but I had cakes, cos I haven't ate it for like... 5 days alr... hee hee... (But I only failed to eat the cakes once) After that, I stayed there to chat with them and left off at ard 11pm with Mandy to the front desk, where Val was, 'cos she msged me tat she was hungry and felt like eating kfc then the next msg, asking me if I wanted to go out to eat dumplings... Well, since tmr's an off day, I tot, why not? and followed. I ordered shrimps with minced meat dumpling, small bowl... Gosh... the small bowl is so not small! there were, i think ard 10 dumplings? OMG, I almost died-ed... Yea, not to forget, I ate some tidbits during my break... Oh well, it's not like I'll be eating a lot the next 4 days...

Fourth, Don's B'day party: I was dying, waiting for the time to crawl to 8.30pm. I was SO hoping that I cld knock off early but... no... Sigh... that evening, there were only ONE table with ONE cust., ordering ONE dish with ONE bowl of rice and ONE bottle of beer. Sigh... Oh well, after I told the supervisor that I was leaving... I literally flew back to the room, turned on my laptop, changed, removed my make-up and *poof* I was online... msged Don and then... we were on Skype. Lol... I felt SO weird... But it was really good to see everyone... Haha... Tho we were webcaming, I cld hardly tok to them cos it was really noisy n they just kept turning 'me' round and round... Haha...
