SIGH!~

I need to give out a big fat sigh now... And there are tonnes of reasons for it. First of all, revision week's coming to an end. And it seems like there is not much progress at all. I know that this is gonna be like... my 2 last papers the rest of my life? probably? I keep telling myself to really study... for just less than 1 week and then I can really play hard. BUT! Sigh... I just don't have the will power. The drive. I'm doing everything and anything but study. Everything and anything: watching drama, reading k and j pop news, reading world news, doodling in my diary, surfing around fb, staring blankly at the calendar, etc. You name it. Sigh.

Talking about staring blankly at the calendar... That's the second thing to sigh about. Time really flies. I feel really really old and can't control my time now. I agree with Amanda. We're probably getting a lil' too old for study. We kinda lose our focus. For me, I just feel that I no longer have the drive which I used to have so much of back in my Secondary school days. Come to think about it, it's weird how I'm quite a hardcore fan girl now as compared to my days in Secondary school. Shouldn't it be the other way round? Oh well... whatever the case, the fan girl-ing time really came at the wrong time. I should really spend more time with my textbooks, powerpoint slides and more readings... :s Sigh.

In less than a month's time, I would have graduated. With what kind of results, I really don't know. looking at my rate... Sigh. I am not young anymore, I should know what I wanna do and my future route, what I want to do. But it is not the case. My future is a blur. The future is so near yet so blur. Just how short-sighted am I? I think I am almost blind. Sigh. I read about how Taeyang got into YGE. His passion for singing since he was a kid, and how he gave himself a b'day pressie on his 12th b'day. He joined YGE. Sigh... HE, knew that he was gonna become a singer at such a young age, the age when I was suppose to be studying for my PSLE but ended up in front of the TV one day before my papers. x_x Sigh.

I am not trying to find excuse. But I really find it especially difficult to study here. The environment is just not right. Not like there aren't any distractions back at home. Just that, it just feels different. i can't just turn on my study mode *snap* just like that. I really wonder why. And it is really not helping when the marketing and tourism content is not what we have always been studying. It's so dry and biz planning-like in the academic way. Ugh! I totally abhore exams for such modules. Sigh. Not like I have a choice. :( Alrighty, I think I should get going. Hopefully after this 'everything and anything' -- blogging, I will be able to at least concentrate for a lil' and complete my current chapter. x_x

SSSSSSIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!~~~~~~~~~~~~ =============3 <- a long sigh...

Sport's Day - 1

I was awaken by Val at about 7am on Thursday morning. It's Ascension Day and like what my Title says, it's Sport's Day 1. I had to drag myself out of bed and the day was so cold and wet -- 9 freaking degrees. @_@

We left for the bus stop and the walk/jog there was... brrr.... It wasn't all that bad until after we got on the bus, we started asking people from the events team if we were going to be indoors or outdoors. To our PLEASANT surprise. Weee!~ We entered ourselves into: an outdoor 400m track, 2 basketball courts and 2 small soccer courts. It was crazy. The rain started coming and the rain. OOOOOOOooooooo.... I can never describe how the chill goes deep into the bones. :S

We wished and hoped and wished that it will be cancelled. Well, of course it didn't. Then we hoped and wished and hoped and wished that it will start soon so we can get it over and done with. Well, we started really late of course. My thighs were already aching by then, all the tensing of the muscles from the cold. :x During the long period of weight, we were literally going crazy, complaining and considering a walk over, a hot bowl of wanton mee, a hot bowl of instant noodle, the bed, the blanket, a hot cup of coffee/milo and a book! x_x Janet, Nikko and me were huddling in a thermal blanket most of the time. And when it was nearing our race, Nikko, Marisa, Hany and I were huddling in the blanket beside the track. Well, of course we were super AA and got labelled by Mr. B, the blanket girls + Dr. V just kept laughing whenever he sees us. :s

It was finally our turn to race and from 3 teams, it became 4 teams. How nice. 3 male teams against us, SLA. x_x BUT we did well! We completed the race! Haha... Of course, we finished 1st! ... from the back. :P It's been a really long time since I've ran. How I wish I had my sports shoe. Anyway, it's really no easy to exercise here 'cos of how thin the air is. It was really difficult to breathe and my lungs almost flipped over while I was running. There were so many audiences as all other events had ended. I wanted so much to sprint at the end, but I really... couldn't. Something was wrong with me. Haha... But the IMIs were so nice, they were cheering for me. Despite having suffered so much, think about the opportunity cost: sleeping in on a cold and rainy day + saving on 4 francs transport, I must say that it was a horrible experience. At least one that I will never ever forget unlike my past Sport's Day. Haha...

You can seriously imagine how bad the weather was. Even the guys were freezing their ass off. And seriously, on Sport's Day, who craves for a hot drink? Hasn't it always been cold ice water/gatorade or the super duper cold Milo truck dispenser?

Weather's gonna be bad for quite some time... and Badminton competition's on Saturday. I think I'm going to die. x_x Sigh... at least after I came back, I had a hot bath, a hot bowl of myojo shrimp tamen, surf the net and then off to bed and had a fantastic 4 hour long dreamless nap! Woohooo!~ Love it! <3

You ask about everything except offer your help...

AH!!! Pissed! Thank god it'll be over soon. I'm almost at my limits now. If I really have a showdown at him... It's too much work and I seriously can't be bothered to entertain people the likes of him. As what my title suggests, seriously this is not the first time. What a perfect gentleMAN! :S

T_T Off to continue my F&B report. Just needed somewhere to do a shout out!

Disney Dreams

It's been one week since I returned from my trip. It's funny how I have been dreaming of Disneylands. First, was Paris Disneyland and just today, I dreamt of Tokyo Disneyland! Wahaha... how crazy was that!?

My paris Disneyland was quite a normal one, where I dreamt of Donald Duck and Pluto... Haha... One odd thing was that i kept calling DD, Donald and he asked me to call him: Donald Duck. Oh well... Here comes the weird one in Tokyo...

I dreamt that I was with my dad and only had 2 mins left 'cos smthg happened before that (I could hardly remember). So I was running around trying to buy something. I just wanted to buy something with Tokyo Disneyland imprinted on it. So I went to ask the sales assistant what was a more popular & rare item where I could only get it there. I can't remember what she replied but I didn't get anything in the end.

Before I knew, I was running around looking for something. I came across lots of anime characters and I was looking at the time. It was already 1 minute past 1 and I had already exceeded my given 2 minutes. Well, I still continued running and while I was at it, I suddenly thought of getting takoyaki (somehow, I just remembered that it wasn't easy to get since I'm away in Switz). So I was hunting for takoyaki. I asked a girl for directions (in Jap!) Haha... and she directed me. I found the stall and ordered immediately! But! I realised that it was... weird. The takoyaki they have on the stall menu board, 1) spinach takoyaki, 2) something takoyaki and 3) tako takoyaki. Hmm... the takoyaki they were making was huge! like bigger than my 2 fists. After observing the people, I realised that they aren't Japs, but Chinese. So I decided to walk off (yes, without my order :P)

So I was walking round and then someone pointed to the direction behind me and said takoyaki! I turned around and there were so many stalls selling takoyaki look-alikes. It turned out, that, they were all selling russian eggs. Yes, what the hell's russian eggs!? I have no idea but that's what it says on their signboard. Haha... It was hilarious. Oh well, somehow I walked and got lost and bumped into this really tall guy. He raised up his right arm to talk to me and he had Edward Scissorhand's 'hand'. It looked really scary but he was just trying to help me with directions. Haha... After that, something happened but it's all just very blur and I woke up... WITHOUT eating any takoyaki! ah!!! my γŸγ“η„Όγ!〜 :'(

Sigh... it was a crazy dream. probably one of the most ridiculous dreams I have had. Say, 1 out of a zillion? I have tonnes of ridiculous dreams. Very tiring to go to sleep. I wish I can have more dreamless nights!~ Tonight mabbe? :)

Barcelona! The land of the _____!~

Yes, I'm back from Barcelona. I totally love this trip. Yes, I love Tokyo, Phuket and Hong Kong too. But Barcelona seems to be a combi of everything, western style. :) In the Barcelona, they have pretty architectures, old, gothic style; mosaic, colourful, abstract. As a sucker for architectures, I feel that I have not done justice to Barcelona. The churches!~ Amazing!~ The museums. Omg! The amount of museums they have, it's crazy. I have only entered the Picasso Museum & Chocolate Museum! I only used one free coupon given in the 2 day pass.

Did you know? Chocolate in Europe kinda started in Spain first! How interesting is that? Their chocolates are lovely! Thick and almost bitter but not to bitter for my liking! Perfect! It's nothing like what Starbucks has to offer. The Xchocolata with whipped cream, together with churros! Omg!~ The match! It's like soybean + fried fritters: the more heavenly version. :P Talking about food, how can I forget seafood right? With the Mediterranean sea just overlooking the city!~ Their Paella!~ Tapas!~ Salad with loads of olive oil and mozzarella!~ Grilled Seafood!~ Waffles by the port!~ Creme Brulee!~ Sangria!~ Not to mention, my last day was spent with an overdosage of Sangria!~ Haha! Well, yea, it's sad that I didn't get to try their McDonald's & KFC there... (You don't know how much I miss it) But yet, how can I not eat local food?

I had Sangria by the beach. And I ordered this thing that I thought was bread with mushroom + cheese topping. Guess what? It turned out to be Brinjal. :s Alright, not complaining, it was quite nice, at least I do eat brinjal now... imagine if I didn't. T_T" The Beach was magnificent. It was still a cloudy, windy day and we saw a lady wearing bikini. There were lots of 'sand castles' built up with a touch of creativity. How the sand dragon's nose can fire up, poking plants in them for the sand house's greenery, there's a big sand dog and what i found most amazing was a sand castle built with a lil' fountain and the water was still flowing! To the side, was a lil mountain, with black smoke spiraling up! How amazing is that? There were so much to see by the beach and it just so happened that they were launching Audi A1 by the beach. So I had a ride in the red A1, high speed, drift and going up the slope, sideways. Haha... it was a fun ride!~

Shopping! Haha... I really liked the shopping there although souvenirs were really quite expensive. On top of that, I had to consider how I was to bring them back with my very tight baggage limit. It was really sad 'cos I really missed out a lot. A LOT. Sigh... I bought 2 tops, One from Zara and another from Bershka. Zara is so not cheap there. I saw this lovely spring jacket. It was 70 euros. O_o The other top I got was 10 euros, I really liked it. Apple got one too!~ :) I saw nice stuff at Mango, but didn't get. Sigh... I bought 2 bottoms, one grey skirt and a pair of Jeans. The skirt was from Pull & Bear, Really nice, a lil' short tho @ 10 euros and the Jeans! Highlight of my trip! 40 euros, from Massimo Dutti!~ It was not even on sale! Love it man! Tho the back pocket doesn't look that nice but... I like it. :P

See, isn't it a combi of Tokyo, Phuket & Hong Kong? Haha... I think it was a great experience. Yes, I did lots and lots of homework and most of them actually had gone to waste but I still feel that it's a great trip. Plan for the unplanned. that's what I learnt from this trip. Other than what Barcelona has to offer, I personally feel that it was a good one 'cos I got to meet new friends. I met Daphne, Apple's colleague's friend. She's an avid traveller. So I picked up a lot of things from her. It was just the 2 of us in the day for the first 2 days. Then Xiuhui & her brother came along on Wed where we went to Mt. Tibidabo, Park Guell and the chocolate museum together. A bigger group, there was quite a lot of fun. Daphne left on Thurs so I was left to go explore alone. I really planned my day already but like what I said, plan for the unplanned, expect the unexpected. I met a new friend on my last day there. (This was how my Sangri overload came about) Liz's Californian with pure Spanish blood. It's her first time in Barcelona which I found quite surprising. She was alone so we kinda decided to go into Sagrada Familia together and we ended up spending the whole day together. Haha... yes, with Sangria. She asked me to join her in California soon and she's a decent snowboarder! How cool's that?

On my real last day, the day I was coming back. I felt so so so sad. the day was so great! It's as if it's calling out to me to tour it more. The clear sunny blue sky! Aww man... On top of that, Apple was going back to Singapore. The feeling i had inside me. You can't imagine how much I wanted to be on the same flight as her back to Singapore. The homesickness overwhelmed me. She sent me an sms that brought tears to my eyes. With this, I left Barcelona. I definitely want to be back again. Not so soon. Perhaps when the Familia's close to completion? There's still too much I haven't done, so yes, I'll be back!

Anyway, i came back with quite some Singapore sauces. Laksa paste, curry paste, chicken rice marinade, ba kut teh, sesame oil and 'da hua' soy sauce + Chocolate oreos and pocky!~ Wahaha... love it man. Can't wait to cook them!~ BUT time really flies! there's only 2 more months till school officially ends! I can hardly believe this and there's still so much workload. @_@ I need to readjust myself to school life again! No more holidaying till end May/Jun! Fighting!~

It's been a long long time!~

It's been a great long time since I have last blogged. I'm blogging now mainly because I have had enough of chapter 3. This will be concluding my Sunday.

I know I need to do well and be consistent with my dissertation. That's what I keep telling myself but there's just too much distractions. This is bad. I need to work harder! On school work! It is really a pain. Somehow, I feel that I have chosen the wrong topic to work on. 'Cos companies doesn't seem to be as helpful as I thought. I've been sending out emails furiously but the replies are usually negative and most ignored me. :( BUT, I must tell myself to press on. Think positive! Law of attraction! :)

Ok, let's go on to something happier! I'm getting out of the Alps-rich Switzerland in less than a week's time! To the land of Tapas, Marco Polo, Zara and many more. Haha... Hoorah! I can't wait man! What's more? I'll be meeting Apple there! Hoorah! x 2 Like what Apple said, I bet we're going to have sleepless nights.... talking to each other all night long! Haha... Been doing research yesterday and a lil' today. The more I read, the more excited I am. Plus, doing most of it alone... It's kind of like my first. Very refreshing indeed. I bet Barcelona's going to be very special place to me. I hope everything goes well. Not perfect but positively well.

Of course, a lot happened in my life but... hmm... yet, there's nothing much to blog about. Like a 'daebak' or something. 'Cos life has just been... like that. The usual. I've one thing that I dunno why I always keep looking forward to. That's language class every Thursday night. Korean's really quite an interesting and challenging language to learn. It's a pity that I don;t take out time to practice every other day. Why I said that I dunno why I look forward to is actually 'cos I already know Mandarin (well enough) and the japanese basics. Hmm... What I can infer from this is that I can really go ahead with taking up Japanese after I go back to Singapore and have enough $$ of course. Since I really have the passion to pick up Japanese. :)

It's career week, there's many many talks we have to attend from Mon to Wed. Plus, gotta work on Chapt 3 and Chapter 2 after meeting my mentor... Hmm... A busy week indeed. I'm glad that I'm only flying on Sun. I think I really need to kick myself and work on my dissertation and get lost in Barcelona. Actually, I think I've already done enough research for the trip. What I really need to do is more like picking up some phrases like... "where is the toilet?" Haha...

it's almost 12am! Gotta wake up early tmr and prob earlier for breakfast. Plus, I think my back and neck's breaking soon since I've been sitting here for almost the whole of my Sunday (meant to be a family day with delicious Singapore delicacies paid for by my Dad). T_T Talking about my dad... Internet here sux! T_T" I guess I won't be blogging till I come back from my trip so... Adios!~ AND... Hola, Barcelona and Manzana!~ (^v^)v
